ABOUT
In 1991 the staff of Bergvliet Library in Cape Town, who noted popular book trends, offered people who regularly borrowed art books an exhibition space at the library. Following the success of this event, a small group of friends with a passion for art began to meet regularly, and the Constantiaberg Art Society was born, with the aim of nurturing members' artistic interests and aspirations.
From these small beginnings, we have grown to close to 200 members. We love diversity and therefore the only requirement to join is to be over the age of 16. We have an inclusive and nurturing approach and welcome any skill level. We feel that encouragement and support help one to grow and improve. If you have an interest or love of art, we would be happy to have you join!
